To break the ever growing intergenerational cycle of recidivist offending, under education, persistent poverty and violence in NZ. To fill the gap in services provided to recidivist and serious offenders on release with a real desire to change their lives. RAW's vision is supporting and educating women and men from this disadvantaged demographic to get them and their children back as contributors into mainstream NZ.

During the 2015-16 financial year RAW had a board of directors and an advisory board. The advisory board can make suggestions for change but only the board of directors can act on it.
Annual Returns are due within 6 months of a charity’s balance date (financial year-end), or a longer period if an extension has been granted.
